music: dandadan
inspiration: calculus amv (so cool)
my college course on theory of computation has an artwork assignment which i think is in of itself super cool.
i decided to do a music video, but the thing is, i'm an expert at procrastinating.
so then i had 5 days left. i didn't know how i would even go about doing this.
i heard that adobe after effects was the goto for these kinds of things so i went with that. i spent like a day messing around with it and the remaining 4 days glued to a chair.
even worse, with much love and much respect, my computer is severely underpowered. so i used my college's library imacs. however, the library is not open 24/7.
i tried really hard to work around this by having after effects installed to a computer lab that i had 24/7 access to. failure. the bureaucracy was too thick.
additionally, the digital lab, located in some building in my campus, the place where all the video audio stuff happens, a place that i now actively avoid because of the demotivating atmosphere in there. this is where i spent my first and second day in.
i don't like this place anymore because the head honcho or digital lab coordinator or whatever sat me down for 2 hours just straight up invalidating me about how i didn't have enough time and that i should be using some other software like canva and that this project is super difficult and that it takes a long time to learn adobe after effects.
very respectfully, no thanks. i'm committing to after effects.
so i resigned myself to the library and would enter as soon as the doors opened and leave as they were about to close. for like four days straight.
also, the imac keyboard i was using broke, but that was fine.
the video is very unpolished and there are some inconsistencies and it's not the best and its really rushed
but overall, i'm pretty happy with what i managed to produce.
